La Cangreja park has 1,5 km of adjacent borders with the Hacienda las Vainillas.
It is a 28 000 acres of land with few tracks, and abundance of Rain Forest rivers and waterfalls.
It is the most secluded of all Costa Rica’s National Parks with over 20 years of complete fauna and flora protection. A true jungle experience with virtually no tourist presence.

Visit the park with a guide:
The Park is rich of crystalline water sources such as Rio Negro and Quebrada Grande.
A local guide will help you discover the endemic fauna and flora and show you the secret waterfalls & river pools.
The tour lasts two hours. It will make you hike in a very wild and protected National Park of Costa Rica.

Climb up to the mountain top:
A more challenging hike will take you up to the La Cangreja National Park mountain top.
This hike requires good trekking capacity.
You’ll climb from 600m to 1,200m altitude and return back to 600m during our 4 to 5 hours walk.
You’ll depart from Hacienda las Vainillas hotel at 5:30am and be back for lunch time.
